Hi there, fifth wheel owners. Today in your 2015 Northwood Arctic Fox, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Torklift's GlowSteps. And these are gonna be a great replacement step for the ones that came with your Arctic Fox. You can see that they contact the ground down here, on each side, and that makes for a much sturdier step than you had before. The ones that hang down, that we're on your camper before, when you get in and out of them, they have a lot of flex to them, 'cause they're just hanging down on the bottom of your camper, and everybody in your camper knows that you're getting in and out, 'cause as you walk up and down these steps, your camper's rocking back and forth. Even if you put down some landing gear, you're still gonna notice a little bit of rock due to those steps. more

Now, these are manually operated RV steps makes it very easy to get into and out of your travel trailer or fifth wheel, they simply fold down for use or you can fold them back up for travel. They do have a grab handle right here on the second step from the top here, which is nice, provides a nice handhold when you're maneuvering the steps. So, when you go to put them up in storage you just grab that handle, push them up the middle latch into place, and then to pull them down, you just grab that handle, pull on them, you twist your handle to release the latch and then you'll pull with that handle and drop them all the way down to be able to use them. Now, the steps will lift up and lock into place and they'll stow inside your entry door when they're not being used. more

Adding steps like this is going to give you a lot more stability, over your factory steps that are floating. The reason these are going to give you more stability is they actually touch the ground. So you've got a lot more stability down, not only attached to your trailer, but within touching the ground your steps aren't gonna move and shake the whole trailer, like your typical factory steps that come on your trailers. Most factory steps like this, are going to be a steel construction. more

Kwikee 25 Series Replacement RV Electric Steps Install - 2008 Fleetwood Tioga Motorhome- Video
Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today we have our Fleetwood Tioga and we're going to be taking a look at our steps. Now as you can see the electric steps currently function properly. However, there's a couple issues, the first step is way high off the ground, so if you have trouble getting up and down the stairs, this can make it unsafe getting in and out of your motor home. There're also pretty wobbly and that can cause you to lose your footing as well. Our new steps are going to be a great replacement and upgrade over these current ones. more

I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're looking at the Kwikee 24 series triple step.So this is going to be a replacement for your existing step on your motor home to make sure that you can get in and out of your coach effectively. So a lot of times these steps will just get rusty after a while being out in the elements, out on the road, maybe something happened to it where it got dented or busted up or something else happened where it's not working, right, so you need a whole new replacement.This comes with obviously the step frame itself, but also the motor unit and the control unit. So the control unit is what allows it to come out and back in, when you open and close that door. You should already have the sensor and all the wiring for everything in the coach, so it's really just a matter of plugging this guy in. You shouldn't have to reroute anything unless something happened to the wiring originally, but that's unusual for that to be the case.If you do need a new pigtail, the four wire pigtail to go into this plug, we do have that sold separately here. more

And this is what our steps look like when they're installed. This is going to be a heavy duty upgrade for your trailer to ensure that you can easily get in and out without any accidents. A lot of the steps that are on your trailer before, they make no contact with the ground and they just hang down below. And if you're going in and out real fast, maybe you're moving a little bit faster, carrying some items, those steps can wobble on you and it could cause some imbalance to happen.These are extremely sturdy. more

This is going to be a double electric step, and this is really a replacement for an OEM step or the step that came with your coach. So this is going to be that style that fits up flush with the side of your RV and it kind of fits into that little cubby right beneath the entry door. They're really common on a lot of different RVs out there on the road. So this is going to be a great replacement for that if it's not working anymore, I got dented or damaged or something else happened to it.So we can take a look at the features with this. more

Today I have a 2019 Jayco Eagle Fifth Wheel, and I want to walk you through how to install Lippert Components Solid Steps.These steps are going to give you a very solid foundation for walking in and out of your camper. When you compare them to the other steps that are normally coming on campers, they're a little bit wobbly. They don't have any base that touches the ground, so they have a lot of give in them.With these, they give you adjustments so you can set them down on the ground to give you a solid foundation walking in and out, not only for you but also for your pets. These are going to have a 400 pound weight capacity, so very high. You'll notice again, top step is very wide. more

Hey guys. Shane here at etrialer.com. Today I have a 2007 Starcraft Homestead Fifth Wheel Trailer and I want to walk through how to install Lippert Components Solid Steps. Solid Steps are going to be a great upgrade from your factory steps that usually come on the trailer. The difference between them is your typical steps are just going to fold down and they're not going to touch the ground, so when you step on them, they have, a lot of give a lot of movement, not very stable. Also, they're open to the elements so you can see all the dirt and everything on them. more

Now I want to walk through how to install the Lippert components solid step manual fold down steps. The benefit of putting these on over your old ones, the standard ones that come on trailers that simply fold out, is they're weak. If you step on them, they move a little bit, they're really not that stable. more

During an extension or retraction cycle, if the motor senses a spike in current, the motor will shut off. So this means if the step encounters any obstructions such as a rock or a tree, the step will stop. Then you can shut the door and retract the step, move to a location where there's no obstruction, and then be on your way.Here you can see our old step compared to our new step. The old step does had a bit of a deeper step here at the bottom, but the treaded portion is significantly smaller than the entirely treaded step that we have on our new step here. more
